ഉക്രെയ്നിലെ യുദ്ധം ആരംഭിച്ചതിന് ശേഷം ആഗോള വിപണിയില് സ്വര്ണവിലയില് ഉണ്ടായ വന് കുതിച്ചുചാട്ടം റഷ്യയ്ക്ക് അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായ സാമ്പത്തിക നേട്ടമായി മാറിയതായി റിപ്പോര്ട്ടുകള് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു. പ്രസിഡന്റ് വ്ളാഡിമിര് പുടിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില് യുക്രെയ്നിലേക്കുള്ള അധിനിവേശത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ യൂറോപ്യന് രാജ്യങ്ങള് മരവിപ്പിച്ച റഷ്യയുടെ സോവറിന് കരുതല് ശേഖരത്തിന് സമാനമായ സാമ്പത്തിക മൂല്യം, സ്വര്ണവിലയിലെ ഉയര്ച്ചയിലൂടെ റഷ്യ വീണ്ടെടുക്കുന്നുവെന്നാണ് ബ്ലൂംബെര്ഗ് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. 2022 ഫെബ്രുവരിക്ക് ശേഷം ബാങ്ക് ഓഫ് റഷ്യ കൈവശം വെച്ചിരുന്ന സ്വര്ണശേഖരത്തിന്റെ മൂല്യം 216 ബില്യണ് ഡോളറിലധികം വര്ധിച്ചതായി കണക്കുകള് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
Reports indicate that the sharp rise in gold prices in the global market since the start of the war in Ukraine has turned into an unexpected financial gain for Russia. Following the invasion of Ukraine led by President Vladimir Putin, Russia is recovering a financial value equivalent to the sovereign reserves that European countries had frozen, through the increase in gold prices, according to Bloomberg.
Figures suggest that the value of the gold reserves held by the Bank of Russia since February 2022 has increased by more than $216 billion.
