Sri Surya Shatakam is a 7th-century Sanskrit hymn in praise of the sun god Surya, composed by the poet Mayurabhatta. It consists of one hundred verses (101 in some versions) and is significant in Sanskrit literature, with the poet reportedly being cured of a severe illness after its composition. The hymn is still recited in parts of India, particularly in Bihar, where there is a strong tradition of sun worship.
