Brig Sanjay Thapa, SM (Retd.) is an alumnus of National Defence Academy. He is from the 58th course, A- Squadron. He was commissioned on 13 June 1981 into 06 Maratha Light Infantry. He volunteered for Special Forces and joined 09 PARA Commando Battalion. He has participated into all major operations of the Indian Army.

A few of his career highlights:-
1. Instructor at Special Forces Training School, Nahan (now at Baklow).
2. Commanding Officer, Special Group
3. Commanding Officer, 106 PARA TA
4. Interviewing Officer, 12 SSB and 17 SSB
5. Brigade Commander, HQ 05 Sector RR.

He retired from the army in 2016. Thereafter he worked with Ministry of Home Affairs to setup COBRA School of Jungle Warfare Training at Belgaum, Karnataka for CAPF. He also worked as Senior VP for Global Textiles as a part of his Corporate Stint.

Lt. Commander Nikhil Kumar Chandrakala (Retd.) served as the Youngest Panelist on the Officers' Selection Board of the Indian Navy. He is the youngest Group Testing Officer to have served in the Indian Armed Forces since 1947!

Lt. Cdr. Nikhil KC (Retd.) also served on ships of Killer Squadron, legacy bearer of 1971 war. He was also Aide-De-Camp of the Admiral Commanding Maharashtra and Gujarat Naval Area.

As Captain of the Warship – Indian Naval Immediate Support Vessel T-15, Senior Officer, ISVs (West), he spearheaded a team of 16 officers and 102 men to defend Oil-Field Exploration Areas on the Western Seaboard of India. He and his team were featured in a documentary shot by India Today TV which was aired on National Television on 26 Jan 2017. The documentary is titled "Defenders of India - Story of India's Sea Horses" which can be seen here :-
