In her workshop, “Wear It Again: Creative Repair with Decorative Stitches,” Isabel will show you how to repair a pair of jeans by adding a gusset to let out the side seams, and then turn that repair into a design feature! Instead of hiding fixes, you’ll make them stand out with fun, decorative stitching.
Isabel is an Ecuadorian‑American artist, sewing instructor, and maker. She works with textiles and leather, drawing inspiration from nature, travel, vintage fabrics, textures, hand embroidery, and more recently patchwork and quilting. Her teaching is about helping others create and bringing ideas to life; she sketches first and lets projects evolve, seeing that process as the most fun. Her brand is Gypsy Tailor, where her sewing machines and studio travel with her wherever she goes.
