Super-Ego 10 inch Stillson Wrench Restoration

In this video, I restore a 10-inch Super-Ego Stillson Wrench.
Super-Ego is a Spain-based tool manufacturer that has been manufacturing tools for over 75 years.

The stillson wrench that I am restoring in this video comes from my father's tool collection. As he was not a plumber, this tool only performed basic home maintenance tasks, and besides the odd time it appears that it was also used as a situational hammer, and besides the surface rust, appears to be in quite good original condition.

This video will take you through the steps I used to bring this tool back to pristine new condition. Besides the electrolysis rust removal (ERRiK), only tools and materials available in most home workshops were used for this restoration. A link on how to build your own ERRiK is listed below.

From go-to-whoa, this project took less than a day to complete, however, I will qualify this by adding that filming significantly slows down the process, and 4 hours were consumed by the rust-removing electrolysis. If you have a sandblaster as part of your tool mix, then this project could be completed in the morning.
