This is a short video of the Saphos Trains "Welsh Marches Express" arriving at Bristol Temple Meads with the return excursion from Shrewsbury hauled by West Country Pacific 34046 BRAUNTON although there are scenes of the more interesting trains that happened to be at Bristol TM before the steam special arrived (a couple of clips were recorded by my wife). The stop here was supposed to be 3 minutes to set down passengers although the train arrived just 4 minutes late. However, unfortunately there were problems with the electronics (possibly the train protection equipment relating to the brakes) but not with the locomotive itself. The class 47 D1924 CEWE DIESEL DEPOT which was at the rear remained there but a another Class 47 D1935 ROGER HOSKING was summoned from Taunton to head the return train to Paignton eventually departing 105 minutes late whilst BRAUNTON plus support coach were removed and headed for St Philip's Marsh HSTD. We needed to catch our train so there is no recording of the charter train departing.
