A modern mythology has grown up around the characters and stories of the Harry Potter series of books by J.K. Rowling. Its world of magic, heroes and villains, wizards, dragons, goblins, elves and more were wonderfully captured by the incomparable composer and conductor John Williams in his scores to the mov- ies based on the books. This medley from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone includes Hedwig’s Theme, Nimbus 2000, Hogwarts Forever, Quidditch, Leaving Hogwarts, and Harry’s Wondrous World, and was skillfully arranged by Robert W. Smith in 2001.
