This Mushroom Quiche Will Steal the Show!
Whether for brunch, lunch, or a cozy dinner, this recipe brings elegance and comfort to your table. Learn how to make a flawless crust, perfectly sautéed mushrooms, and a rich filling that melts in every bite.
INGREDIENTS:
DOUGH:
1 ½ cups flour
½ cup melted butter
1 pinch of salt
1 beaten egg
1 tablespoon water
FILLING:
1 - 2 Garlic Cloves
1 Onion
1/2 Cup of tomato sauce
3 - 4 Sliced Mushrooms
Salt & Pepper
2 Tbsps. of Cream Cheese
1 Tbsp. of milk
1 Tsp. of Basil
7 - 12 Oz. of Bacon (3 - 4 Strips)
PROCEDURE:
FILLING:
1. Sauté the bacon until it releases its fat and turns golden.
2. Add the onion and garlic, and let them cook for a few minutes until softened.
3. Add the mushrooms, cover, and let them release their juices.
4. Uncover the pot add the cream cheese, milk, basil and bacon, and allow the liquids to evaporate.
5. Check the seasoning.
DOUGH:
6. Combine all the dough ingredients in a bowl and form the dough (Use hands if needed).
7. In a slightly floured surface roll out the dough and press it into your baking pan. Use a fork to gently poke holes in the bottom — this helps it bake evenly.
QUICHE:
8. Fill with the mushroom mixture, top with cheese, (Optional: decorate the top with tomato, olive oil, and spice of your choice).
9. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35 minutes with heat from both top and bottom.
10. Let Quiche cool, and enjoy!
