​‪@ARRahman‬ is a man of few words. But he makes an exception while praising Sadhana Sargam.

He eloquently describes her as "one of the few Indian vocalists who could surpass my expectations in her rendition of my songs."

It was for Hindustani (Hindi dubbed version of Tamil film - Indian) when Sadhana Sargam sang for A R Rahman for the 1st time and soon became one of his most trusted singers.

Hindustani (released in 1996 ) was directed by Shankar. Its cast included Kamal Haasan, Manisha Koirala, and Urmila Matondkar.

Indian became a blockbuster. It was selected as India’s entry for Oscar.

Minsara Kanavu was released in 1997. In Hindi it was released as Sapney.

Directed by Rajiv Menon, it was Kajol’s debut film in Tamil. The cast also included Arvind Swamy & Prabhu Deva. The film won four National Film Awards.

One of its most popular tracks Vennilave (Chanda Re) was sung by Sadhana Sargam in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

She also sang the iconic song Snehithane (Chupke Se) in Alaipayuthey (Sathiya in Hindi).

अपेक्षा से बेहतर गाते हैं ।"

Sadhana Sargam ने पहली बार जो गीत A.R. Rahman के लिए गाया वह था फिल्म Hindustani के लिए ( तमिल
फिल्म – Indian का हिंदी डब संस्करण)।

जल्द ही Sadhana Sargam, रहमान के भरोसेमंद गायकों में से एक बन गई Hindustani (Indian 1996) में रिलीज़ हुई।
S. Shankar द्वारा निर्देशित इस फिल्म के कलाकारों में Kamal Haasan, Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar शामिल थीं।

Indian एक ब्लॉकबस्टर फिल्म साबित हुई । इसे ऑस्कर के लिए भारत की entry के रूप में चुना गया।

Minsara Kanavu 1997 में रिलीज़ हुई थी। हिंदी में इसे रिलीज़ किया गया और शीर्षक दीया गया – Sapney।
Rajiv Menon द्वारा निर्देशित यह Kajol की पहली तमिल फिल्म थी।
