📅 On the 7th of April 2024, Route 129 was officially extended from North Greenwich to Gallions Reach, Great Eastern Quay, and transferred to Henley Road (DS) Garage.
This vlog captures my first day journey on the brand new section of the route, onboard the latest BD11 EBD5, fleet number LF74 TZE. A clean, raw experience – no cuts, no fluff – just the sounds, sights, and ride of the new extension as it happened.

🚧 The Silvertown Tunnel – A Major Shift for East London This extension also coincides with the opening of the controversial Silvertown Tunnel, which opened on the same day – 7th April 2024. It has been a project surrounded by debate, with concerns around traffic, air pollution, and environmental impact. But from a transport perspective, it connects key areas across the Thames and reshapes how certain routes like the 129 now operate.
