God LIES In The Bible, Why Don't Christians see it?

Does the God of the Bible YHWH lie? What do scholars think about this idea? In this episode on MythVision we are joined by Assyriologist Joshua Bowen & Bible scholar Kipp Davis to discuss places where God is clearly in the act of lying and wanting to deceive people. Why is it that most Christians do not notice this or ignore this fact? I'm pretty confident they just run to other passages that say, "God is not a man that he should lie," like Number 23:19. Or, does God repent? Some passages say God does and others say he doesn't... which is it? The Bible is clearly sharing various contradictory ideas about God and we hope this video helps the viewer explore this topic.
