Some amateur Super 8mm cine footage from the 1970s just showing a random bunch of the 1/3 scale steam locomotives running on the RH&DR (Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway). This attraction can be found in the Village of Littlestone near New Romney (Kent).
I think I have seen a few amateur films of this attraction over the years, including one from the 1930s, so clearly many have felt it was an experience worth filming. Interesting also that the quality of good S8mm stock in the 1970s compares well I think with 16mm stock from the 1950/60s. Never quite as good (in terms of resolution and detail), but close. Which is remarkable given that S8 has just 30% of the filmed area that 16mm film has (i.e., 23.2 versus 76.8 mm squared).
