Here’s the “it’s-not-Christmas” part of Messiah that offers us one of everyone’s favorite sequences of choruses in the oratorio repertory. This week’s excerpt takes us from “Surely, he hath born our griefs” to “He trusted in God.” Tenor Dann Coakwell sings the recit, “All they that see him laugh him to scorn.”
