Description: OHCS Affordable Rental Housing Division recently restructured, creating a Portfolio Management Section combining the Compliance and Asset Management functions. The restructure also created a Portfolio Support Section, responsible for creating and maintaining compliance manuals for funding programs, related guidance and instruction. This session will provide an overview of the restructure and detail critical updates about key compliance topics important to affordable housing developers, owners and operators by representatives of Portfolio Management and Portfolio Support. Attendees will gain an understanding about who to contact for Portfolio Support, how (and when) to communicate with the Portfolio Management Section, a review of a Property Improvement Plans (PIPs) including their purpose, when you need one and how they can help, and a review of the OHCS Rent Increase Policy along with updates to the 2025 LIHTC Compliance Manual, including the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act regulation, and expansion of Average Income Test.
