Derek and Tom continue onward and upward. The snow has subsided, but the weather remains cold, and the trail is becoming steeper. Nevertheless, Tom and Derek push on, inspired by their belief in their cause, which is to raise money to help the Cayman Islands Meals on Wheels build a kitchen.
Meals on Wheels delivered 79,643 meals to needy senior citizens in the Cayman Islands in 2023. They also provided supplemental groceries, hurricane survival kits, and wellness checks. They did all of this despite lacking a home base where they could prepare meals and manage logistics.
