Created by Miles Tourellot of Wisconsin sometime in the 1940s and further popularized by Eric Leiser in the 1970s, the Llama is a generic baitfish streamer pattern that has been proven effective for trout and smallmouth bass.
Hook: #6-10 extra-long streamer
Thread: Black
Tail: Grizzly hen fibers
Rib: Silver or Gold Mylar Tinsel
Body: Red floss (or black, white or yellow)
Wing: Woodchuck (aka groundhog)
Hackle: Grizzly hen
