If you look up Vanguard Voyagers and David Gates on this channel, you'll see two sides of a single co-written by David and Marty Cooper. David also arranged the bluegrass songs when they were recorded. A previous single by The Vanguard Voyagers had two bluegrass songs co-written by Marty Cooper and Perry Botkin Jr. For those, Perry was the arranger when they were recorded on February 27, 1964 with no tile, only being called “Inst#1” and “#2.” Here is "Bluebells And Bluegrass." It had Freeman "Don" Parmley on banjo, Billy Strange and Tommy Tedesco on guitars, Lyle Ritz on bass, Hal Blaine on drums and Gene Estes on percussion. I'm gonna assume that anyone subscribed to this channel has noticed the body of work sold to the public, credited to various groups on the record labels, was actually played by a small group of musicians in the musician's union pool
