This was a quick attempt at using the CNC router to build a completely transparent dust shoe (also called a dust shroud, dust boot, or dust skirt). The dust shoe is basically a flexible skirt that surrounds the cutting area in an attempt to contain the chips and dust generated when cutting something. The little bits of wood and plastic can't escape the dust skirt and they get forced into the dust control system.
