Imran Khan’s Viral Jail Photo Sparks a Nationwide Debate

Over the past day, social media has been flooded with an image showing former Prime Minister Imran Khan exercising inside jail, with police personnel standing nearby. The image instantly went viral, triggering intense debate. Many questioned whether the photo was real or generated using artificial intelligence.

Today, however, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan confirmed that the photo is authentic. She clarified that the image was taken before Imran Khan was placed in solitary confinement. While it remains unclear which jail the picture was taken in—given that Imran Khan was previously held in Attock Jail—her confirmation ended speculation about its authenticity.

Aleema Khan appeared before an Anti-Terrorism Court in connection with the November 26 protest cases. Speaking to the media, she revealed critical insights into Imran Khan’s mindset and stance while in prison.

Free and Fair Elections

She launched a scathing critique of the judiciary, accusing judges of remaining silent in the face of injustice. She stated that judges who fail to deliver justice bear the gravest moral responsibility. Aleema Khan claimed that in Pakistan, people falsely swear on the Quran in courts while judges stay quiet, allowing injustice to prevail.

She also questioned why only lower-level officials who give false testimony are punished, while those who force them to do so escape accountability. According to her, these lower officials are merely “scapegoats,” while the real perpetrators remain protected.

Despite the bleak situation, Aleema Khan expressed hope. She said Imran Khan firmly believes that from the ruins of the current system, a new Pakistan will rise—one built on justice, democracy, and accountability.

Protest Call and Allegations of Crackdown

Aleema Khan confirmed that Tuesday is the designated meeting day for Imran Khan’s family and legal team, and she insisted that they will go to meet him regardless of resistance. She accused security officials of selectively enforcing the law—punishing those who follow it while allowing violators to act freely.

She also announced a renewed sit-in protest, stating that while protesters had been sitting for 10 months and dispersing by noon, this time they would not leave at all.

Responding to questions about a late-night crackdown on Tuesday, Aleema Khan denied claims that the party leadership abandoned protesters. She said she herself instructed people to leave for safety, but no one was willing to move.

One of the most striking points in the documentary is the assertion that Imran Khan has made no deal. Unlike previous prime ministers who either negotiated their way out or were shifted to hospitals, Imran Khan has remained in jail without compromise.

Reshuffling Within PTI

Internal changes within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have also made headlines. Shahid Khattak has been appointed Chief Organizer of the Insaf Students Federation (ISF) Pakistan, with the notification issued by Salman Akram Raja.

Meanwhile, Khalid Khurshid, Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, stepped down from his position as ISF Chief Organizer. According to Sheikh Waqas Akram, the party respected his decision and appointed Shahid Khattak as Chief Organizer of the PTI Youth Wing Pakistan.


Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri Case Shakes the Judiciary

A dramatic legal confrontation unfolded in the Islamabad High Court, where Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri appeared before a division bench led by Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar regarding his degree case.

Justice Jahangiri raised a serious objection to the bench, stating that Chief Justice Dogar had a conflict of interest and could not fairly hear the case. Taking an oath on the Holy Quran, Justice Jahangiri declared that his degree was genuine, that he had taken the examinations, and that the university had never declared it fake—even after 34 years.

He demanded the case be transferred to another bench, arguing that he could not trust Chief Justice Dogar’s impartiality, especially since intra-court appeals were still pending and Dogar had previously been a direct party against him.
