Pirajá House, located in São Paulo and renovated by Estúdio BRA Arquitetura, was transformed to accommodate a young couple and their dog. The original structure, which was overly compartmentalized with low lighting and ceilings, was demolished except for the solid brick masonry walls. The redesign maximized the narrow 4x24 meter plot, creating a three-level home featuring an open-plan ground floor with a seamless connection between the kitchen, living room, and outdoor spaces. A central garden with a transplanted jabuticaba tree enhances thermal comfort, while the rooftop was converted into a garden with a lawn, vegetable patch, and wooden deck. The house blends modern, open spaces with sustainable landscaping, offering a practical and inviting living environment.
