In August 2025 I decided to solo hike Alfred Wainwrights Coast to Coast. Taking 12 days to cover the 192 miles across England. Starting in St bees on the west coast of England and finishing at Robin Hoods Bay on the east coast of England.
Carrying everything I needed for the trip I set off on a very hot day making my way across the Lake District National Park, The Yorkshire Dales and finally onto the North York Moors.
I stayed at some quirky places, pub beer gardens, farms, a couple of wild camps, one official campsite and one little pod.
I had a mixed bag of weather, sun, rain, wind, and more rain. The journey took me through some picturesque villages, towns and I met some great people along the way.
Sadly I had to divert around Dent Hill on day one and also take a diversion on the last day due to Moorland fires.
So I hope you enjoy watching my video of me walking Alfred Wainwrights Coast to Coast.
