Drying desiccant packs for reuse. Did it work?

I've been collecting the desiccant packs from each filament roll that I open. I may have been tossing them into the gasketed bins that i keep our filament in to keep them dry. I put a hydrometer in the bins to keep track of the moisture and I noticed that it began to be consistently high. I heard of people redrying them in a toaster oven, so I decided to give it a try. I baked them on the tray for 3 to 4 hours at 250 degrees. At random times, I would open the door for a few minutes to let some of the moisture out. After about 4 hours, I removed them to a large ziplock bag and left the bag open for them to cool. As they were cooling, I could see moisture on the bag and I let them cool for about an hour to allow the moisture to dissipate. After I zipped the bag, the humidity went down and eventually settled around 11%.
Fast forward 8 months, and they are still only at 18%.
I feel that this process will be sufficient for me to keep the filament in my totes dry during the humid months. I have enough packets to dry some and have them ready to swap out for the humid packs.
Someday I may purchase a dryer, but for our applications and materials, this method should work just fine.
