Locating the lateral tunnel plug of a pocket gopher mound can be difficult for many people. This video shows how pocket gophers, when digging on slopped ground, tend to place their lateral tunnels on the upper side of the slope and the excavated soil on the lower side of the slope. This video illustrates that reality.
Knowing where to find the plug quickly will dramatically improve tunnel excavation and trap placement thereby improving control efficiency.
