This video shows three different methods to use to knit nupps. Nupps originates from Estonian knitting, and adds pretty texture. Nupps are like bobbles, and reminds of flower buds. Nupps are often incorporated into shawl knitting but I have seen bobbles on sweaters, blankets, and other knitted treasures.
Method 1 involved knitting into the same stitch and finishing on that same side. Method 2 involves using a crochet hook to create the nupp and finishing on that same side. Method 3 involves using a double yarn over between extra stitches to elongate the stitches and then the nupp is finished on the wrong side of your knitting.
My channel is about my knitting journey. I do mostly knitting, some crochet, and will be sharing tips, tutorials, things I've learn, things I've done that I would not recommend that you do, and my finished projects. I also have started a bi-weekly series of WAYK, what are you knitting, discussing my current works-in-process.
Thank you so much for letting me share this tutorial with you. Please consider subscribing to my channel.
