Today I’m doing a long run with a session built in — even though I’m in a bike-focused training block. As a triathlete, I don’t want to do a hard run session every week, but I still want to keep my run sharp before my next run block.
So the plan is simple: 5×1km at half marathon pace, then straight into Parkrun to finish things off. Controlled effort, strength-focused, and a good way to build muscular endurance without tipping over into fatigue.
