It's Saturday 17th April 1999, and the organizers of the 18th London Marathon made their final preparations as a record-breaking number of runners expect to line up on the starting line for the big race the following day.

Meanwhile at UKTV, UK Gold is airing the 12th episode of the 1st season on the iconic British sketch show Monty Python's Flying Circus. It's the one with the Upper Class Twit of the Year Show. Personally, with my lifestyle, I rather kick the beggar, wake the neighbours with the car door, shoot myself, etc. rather than running a 26.2 mile race! (Please don't try to do any of these. Well, except the 26.2 mile one!)
