{Kickdown} Stagecoach's Very First Dennis Trident ALX400 | East Grinstead Vintage Bus Running Day

This was on the East Grinstead Vintage Bus Running Day, an event where many buses from the yesteryear gathered to recreate some routes down in West Sussex.

Here we have Stagecoach's very first Dennis Trident, registered in January of 1999 and notoriously known as 17001 or TA1! This bus and her sisters as a batch, are known for their red-poles, grey interior mouldings & the old-style bench seats with the striped moquette! It was a very common sighting across East London, operating many routes that are still around today! Looking in spectacular form it joins this running day, operating on Route 424 & 428... still sounding as lovely as any Euro 2 Trident should sound. This one definitely brought back memories of Euro 2 Voith Tridents, I weren't the most local to this specific batch but I definitely did have batches closer to me of the same type! And as a current bus type that are getting rarer and rarer in the UK, recording this bus was worthwhile and I am very appreciative of the efforts made for the bus to attend. This journey consists of some kickdown, including a few nice over-revs, some steep hillclimbs and an little spice of speed down the country roads. This wasn't the biggest running day, but it was definitely a day to remember... big up the current owner(s) preserving the vehicle currently. You're doing a good job! Enjoy the video!
