Midi Used: • Klonoa of the Wind: Door to Phantomile - ...
App Used: vanBasco's Karaoke Player
Soundfont used: A320U.sf2, gm.sf2/Default
I noticed a few days ago that OmniMidi was playing midi files differently after I updated to the stable release of 14.8.3. It was holding instruments much longer than it used to be, especially with the reverb and echo off. Which in some cases made the instruments much louder and too ringing for metal-based instruments.
I updated to 14.8.5 which was the latest on GitHub to see if it fixed that problem, which it didn't. I then downgraded to 14.7 which was the previous version before I updated and it didn't have the weird holding instruments that it had in the later versions.
The reverb and chorus settings have been set to their default settings in both versions.
I used 2 soundfonts to show that it is not caused by the soundfont I was using.
The app that I used for using OmniMidi was vanBasco's Karaoke Player (yes a karaoke player but the problem was also affecting other apps that were using the omnimidi engine like audacity.)
