Steam In The Valley, a popular event hosted by the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, returned in 2021 after missing last year. The star of this event was Nickel Plate Road #765. NKP 765 is a class S-2, 2-8-4 Berkshire built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1944. Now owned by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, 765 has been operating since 1979 and has become one of the most known excursion locomotives in the nation. On the CVSR, 765 is tasked with taking passengers through the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The big berk put on quite a show for all who attended, wearing a wartime steel Nathan 6 chime whistle.
