🎬 HOME: A Journey

🎞️ SUMMARY:
The story of ‚HOME’ explores an alternate reality of what my life could have been like had I not left the society I grew up in.

📝EXPLANATION:
I grew up loving the place I was born in (00:47), but eventually the reality dawned on me in early adulthood (01:44) and I realized I had two options: start life anew in another place or conform to this society (04:03). Of course you never really belong once you migrate and are reduced to the status of a mere “migrant” (02:31), but that’s a reality I eventually accepted (HOME II: Confessions). Ultimately I had to choose between living a life of freedom (HOME II) or a life of lying to myself, and deceiving everyone around me (04:03). I chose the former, conformity would have meant internally killing myself and living life like a dead man walking (04:31)
