Marinated Horse Mackerel is a tradicional portuguese recipe from Algarve (south of Portugal). It´s very easy to make. When I want to make this recipe, I always ask in the fish market to prepare the fish for this recipe: no head and no guts.
NOTE: REMOVE THE EXCESS OF SALT FROM FISH BEFORE COOKING.
As a side dish I usually make an Algarve salad made my way with sweet potato. Other alternative side dish is boiled small potatoes with skin (it´s a type of very small potato), press down with a fork to open them and drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic clove and dill.
