Michael Jackson - Billie Jean Video Mix | New Year 2025 Special (HIStory Tour, 1996: Revamped)

This time for my annual new years mix I decided to revisit and revamp my most popular video of the series; ‘HIStory Tour, 1996’.

I did so by making a totally new video mix with all the original files of the different performances to get the best possible quality as well as using a different performance (that I feel showcases 1996 ‘Billie Jean’ the best instrumentally, while still prioritizing quality) than I did with my previous version of this mix (where I used Kuala Lumpur 10.29.) for the audio, which I then also edited to highlight my favorite parts of 1996.

Visually I wanted to highlight the same things, while making it easy to follow yet still cinematic— as well as including various audience recordings as part of the video mix.

All in all, I wanted to show you what I think of, when I think ‘Peak 1996 Billie Jean’, but I guess as well it’s also me showcasing how I’ve changed and evolved as an editor since that first new years mix. Since then, a lot of things have changed in my life.
