Can you pitfire pottery in the winter when it's freezing cold and snowy?
Absolutely yes. But there are a few challenges.
In this video I will show you how I pitfire pottery in the winter, how I prepare the pitfire kiln (oil drum), how I prepare and color the pots with organic materials, combustibles, sals, cobalt sulfate, copper sulfate, copper carbonate and salts.
Everything from start to finish - and in the end a closer look at the final pitfired pots.
