Maai mere nirdhan ko dhan raam | (Raam-naam is the only wealth for me)
Kharche na khoote, chor naa loote (it does not get spent nor it decreases, thief cannot loot it)
Bheed pade aave kaam | (It is useful in the hour of need)
din din sooraj sabaayo uge
ghatat na ek chhadaam | (everyday it grows but there is no decrease of even a single chhadaam) (chhadaam-the lowest unit of currency)
Raam naam mere hiraday me raakhu
jo lobhi raakhe daam | (I will keep the raam naam in my heart the same way a money-minded person keeps his money with care)
soor-daas ki itani hi poonji
ratana-mani se nahi kaam | (for soordaas, the only wealth is Raam-naam, he does not care about any precious jewels )
