It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
Who am I kidding?
We had a ton of wood pellets come in, and to make things easier on both the track and the locomotive, I decided to move them in two trips.
The first trip went pretty well. No drama, no derailments. This one was low key and I got some great POV shots that I think you’re going to enjoy.
The second trip started out well… but then the rails spread under the train. Eric and Jared came by to help get it back on the track with the LocoJack. After a few derailments in the same general area, we finally made it up to the sugar house to unload the pellets and talk about past derailments.
I later discovered that a few tie plates had broken and that's what caused all the trouble, but that’s a topic for another video.
