Reya Mirine ڕێگای مردن is a Kurdish Kurmanci & Sorani song that is about Kurdish resistance.



The inspiration for this song come's from when in 1961, Mala Barzani said to all his men, and sent word to all the tribes, that the ultimate path towards Kurdistan is his path, and his path is death. He said that he has chosen death for Kurdistan, and that he shall fight until his last breath, and those who do not fear death, hunger, or hardship, shall follow him on this path.

The meaning is that our path is death, and that the path which we tread upon, is death itself. For our people, for our families, for all Kurds of Kurdistan, for our martyrs, for our homeland.

We do not falter, nor back down, we do not run, we do not flee, we do not hide, we walk through the path of death, and our path is death itself because we are the Kurds of Kurdistan.

Biji Rojava! Biji Bashur! Biji Bakur! Biji Rojhalat u Biji Kurdistan!
