Self-Hatred | Tapping With Renee

If we grew up being abused, there's no doubt we learned a good amount of self-hatred. Self-hatred is what fuels feeling unlovable, feeling like we have to fix ourselves, feeling like we have to be perfect to get love, or any number of self-punitive behaviors.

It is what underlies the feeling that our lives are pointless and there's nothing good about us. This is what we learned. This is what was passed down to us. A catalogue of beliefs about ourselves that aren't true and only guarantee that we will suffer and struggle throughout our lives, unless we change it.

Tap along with me to bring these lessons up to the surface. See them for what they are- just lessons we learned that have dominated our lives up until now. Feel the feelings and then let them go. Know that there are other ways of seeing yourself and the world. There are other perspectives you can hold that serve your highest good. You don't have to continue believing the limiting messages you learned in your youth. You get to choose now. You are the author, you get to own it.

Remember:
You don't need fixing. You simply need to love yourself, as you are right now. You can give your inner child the love you never received, and you can protect that child fiercely.
