"Say Yes," is a simmering, love making ballad that has been a staple of quiet storm radio formats since it was first released on the Whispers 1982 album, LOVE IS WHERE YOU FIND IT. The album peaked at #35 on the Billboard 200 charts and #1 on the R&B charts. Other singles from the album include, “In the Raw,” “Emergency,” and “Love Is Where You Find It.” The album went on to sell over 500,00 copies. On the website, Classicrockhistory, it is considered one of the Whispers, top 10 singles. Walter Scott Jr, who is seen in this video singing alongside his brother, Wallace, was one of the original members of the group. He died this past June 2025 so it was a privilege to have seen them perform on November 11, 2023 at the Cannery Casino in Las Vegas, NV. I have a six degree of separation with the group when I was working in the administrative office of the US Attorney's office in San Francisco back in the mid-80's. My boss was the wife of original Whisper member, Nicholas Caldwell, and he would, on occasion, come to the office to meet up with his wife for lunch. Of course, I had to be cool and pretend not to notice when he came to visit. But of course, I managed to get a picture or two with him. LOL. So, I don't mind to shout-out that the Whispers will always be among my favorites.
