How I FIXED my Delta Drum Sander 18 x 36

This was supposed to be a simple conveyor motor replacement that turned into a much bigger repair with not only the motor but my rheostat that controls the motor. I had a motor burn up and send excess voltage to the rheostat causing it to also blow, so I needed to fix it all. I hope you guys can glean some information from this how to so you can fix your own.

All parts for this repair are now unavailable from the manufacturer but I have managed to find replacements from these following websites.
