Nitrate contamination continues to be one of the most persistent and widespread threats to private well water users across the country. Stemming from fertilizers, septic systems, and agricultural runoff, elevated nitrate levels can pose serious public health risks.
For this session, two seasoned experts, Roy Kroeger, MPH, A Registered Environmental Health Specialist and the Onsite Wastewater Coordinator for Boone County, Missouri, and Brooklyn Armijo, MS, a Geology Associate for the Water Well Program at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, bring years of field and research experience to the table.
