Vine and the Symbol of Peace combine for 18 KOs!
I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be my favorite game I've played ever. The combination of KOs, Damage, Support, bullied Dabis and the fact it was a ranked 2v3. Absolute cinema.
So we got lucky that no one dropped mall with us, so we got to loot up in peace. My All Might understood the assignment was a masterclass of not overextending. He seemed to be waiting until his support was ready to fight, but once I ping some enemies, we got active.
Between my last two 2v3s, leveling alpha is a smart choice since you can just sit back and snipe. Normally, I level based on the characters in the lobby. Anyways, I was just trying to be annoying and poke people and just let All Might take the heat since he has to get closer and he's faster. I wanted to get that box, but once AFO showed up, who I assumed was part of a 4th team in the area, I let it go. In a 2v3, it's important for your team not to be the center of attention.
3:15 This sequence starting here was a bit of support lite. I didn't have team heals for All Might, so I didn't want to risk a full brawl. So I stayed close for the revive and at the extremity of my alpha range. When All Might gets a pick, we thirst the KO and get out.
3:56 This next sequence might be my favorite in the game. So All Might took a lot of damage and needed to heal. I ping my location to tell him to stay close. When he goes up, I go up with him. My danger ping might've save him from Mirio who was hunting him. Now we have to this sort of fighting retreating as I track All Might from the ground. A quick check behind to make sure that Shinso isn't following. All I'm going now is staying close and discouraging Mirio and Monoma from following by breaking their guards until All Might can heal. Normal my game analysis is a "hindisght is 20/20" sort of deal, but this time all my actions very conscious and intentional. So it was cool so see this play out in real time. It's also when I knew my teammate and I were locked in.
4:51 I love what All Might did here. Even though he's basically 1-shot, he still throws out some attacks to scare off the Monoma. Doing that made them think he was healed up and ready to fight again, so they finally left us. I made a small mistake shortly after, I should have waited for All Might to fully heal instead of running off a few seconds early in case he got hit.
5:53 This sequence was about target priority. I had all but killed Dabi, but I'm not worried about him, so I swap to Shoto since he was likely weak since he fought All Might long enough to down him. I then found myself in what I thought was a 1v2, but it was actually a 1v1v1. I didn't mean to let the Dabi get up, but I thought Toga was trying to get my blood for a rez, so I rolled to dodge her gamma (which she didn't aim at me...) I figured Dabi was going for the jump pad, so I boxed him out with beta to down him again.
I'm always on Dabi cleanup, but Rapid Might, is actually kind of rough against him, so I help my teammate finish the one one he was fighting so we don't get pincered.
This match was supposed to be Space Hop training for me because I keep forgetting I have it. That fight vs the Todoroki, Dabi and Shig would've have gone better if I used Space Hop to go up to the second level. When Shig hit me, a bad active wake allowed me to to get frozen. After that, I adjusted and used my I frames to avoid the second beta and retreat. Also I should have topped off my GP before fighting again. I had plenty of time to do so.
Taking out the Todoroki and Tamaki went well, but I could have done better by using space hop to air stall above the door. I totally wasn't ready for Tamaki's beta at all. Lucky he missed.
And finally, Mirio. Gotta rewind a bit to 3:08. So whenever Mirio and Ibara are in the same lobby, it's on sight like sworn enemies. I don't really TRY to hunt down Mirio's but I know they aren't going to leave me alone because of our unique interaction with them.
I'll admit, I technically hit him first, but I kinda just ran into him. But notice how at 3:20 he immediately targets me with no less than 4 attacks. After the missed gamma, I took a mental note that he was gonna target me again if he got the chance. I didn't want to fight him at the moment since my gamma was low level and if I showed my hand, he would have never stopped fighting me.
11:35 When I saw him go up I new he was going for me, so he got my full attention. I healed in front of him to provoke an attack and my GOAT All Might made sure I at least got my heal off. And when he went for beta? GGs.
F Around into Find Out is a true combo, ya'll.
What I really like about this game was how All Might played his life and sort of played bodyguard for the insta-res. And how we took turn drawing aggro for the other to heal. I could go on, but I'm running out of space.
