Cyberpunk 2077 - Combat Cab Confessions - Episode 28 - "Afterlife" | Night City Grind

What is going on everybody? Welcome back to The Rat’s Nest! This is chrom3rat, and we are back in the heart of Night City at the Afterlife. Valerie is kicking off tonight’s shift the only way you should: with a stiff drink from Claire.

In this episode of Combat Cab Confessions, we’re back to the grind—hustling taxi fares using the Taxi Work mod and funneling those risky profits into the Stock Market mod. But tonight isn't just about the eddies; it's about surviving the heat. As I always say: three-star cops are no joke. They’ll serve you "justice" in the worst ways imaginable if you aren't pixel-perfect behind the wheel.

In tonight's high-octane shift:


Afterlife Atmosphere: We start the night at the bar, rubbing elbows with Edge-runners and grabbing a screenshot of Valerie looking badass before hitting the pavement.


Johnny's Quiet Ride: We pick up "Johnny," who phases into the cab and actually manages to keep his mouth shut while we weave through wrong-side traffic to hit a 15-second drop-off window.


The "If They're Alive" Guarantee: Our motto is "Get there alive or your money back," but we nearly had to issue a few refunds after a deadly game of chicken with NCPD cruisers.

Cyber-psychosis & Self-Care: Between the vision glitches and the flatlining, we had to make a desperate stop at a med-point for neuro-blockers. Night City isn't cheap, and the toll on your humanity is the highest tax of all.


Road Rage & Realism: Witnessing NPCs "crashing out," dodging reckless bus drivers, and dealing with customers who try to skip out on the bill—it’s just another Tuesday in Watson.
