Here I'm playing around in AnyRail, creating a track plan for a fictitious main line station. It serves a double track main line and a branch line. As I go through the build I explain the logic behind the design, why trailing points are safer than facing points, why double slips are not usually found on main lines, and I also show how to use sections in AnyRail to divide the layout into logical areas.
