In this third episode, I will explain how freelance filmmakers, gig creatives, film crew, and tiny production companies can secure themselves with insurance policies. Business insurance, inland marine, disability, liability and other policies that might be useful.
Additionally, I describe some basic contracts that you should consider.
This information comes from the perspective of working as film crew. However, we often find ourselves working as small businesses and dealing with some of the bureaucracy that comes with owning a company.
The tips and suggestions will also be helpful to other creatives in parallel fields: photographers, illustrators, designers… etc. But you will notice that the stories and viewpoints come from the film industry.
