Unique New York Plane Spotting - Boutique Air PC12 action at Massena (MSS / KMSS)

The town of Massena is located in upstate New York near the Canada-US border.
I have been wanting to go spotting here for quite some time, so I am glad to have finally check this airport off my list - quite interesting! Very friendly staff (especially considering not to many spotters come here...)

This small regional airport has 2 runways. Runway 05/23 (5600 feet) and runway 09/27 (4000 feet). The airport offers VOR, ILS and RNAV navigation approaches. The airport is a CTAF / Unicom frequency (123.0 MHz).
Due to it's proximity to the Canadian border, U.S Custom agents are available upon request for any possible international flight.

The airport is served by 1 regional carrier, Boutique Air. They operate 3 daily flights to/from Boston (BOS) and Baltimore (BWI). Boutique Air operates these routes using 9 seater PC12's at a very fair price. The airlines is subsides by the Essential Air Service program. However the contract expires in 2023, I look forward to seeing if Boutique air will renew or there will be a new carrier...
This program by the U.S government maintains commercial air service in small communities. The goal is to maintain a level of air service on routes that would not normally be profitable. As of 2015, 159 communities across the U.S receive EAS benefits.
