Let's assume you're a day trader who don't want to risk more than $1000 a day and you want to take 5 trades a day that comes out as risking $200 per trade. If you place a trade at $10 a point that would carry a 20 pip stop (to keep the $10 x 20 = $200 overall risk per trade). Redoing

If you increased that to $500 per trade (2 trades per day) you could increase the stop to say 50 pips with the same $10 a point trade. The point is there are multiple ways of doing stuff and often as traders we trade far too passively; we think we are taking less risk by taking more shots or by having a smaller stop but the reality is that this is far too passive. You're probably better off increasing your position size and widening your stop a bit and taking better trades. Redoing
