Horton Creek Trail
I've hiked and backpacked the Horton Creek Trail many times. But that was a long time ago. I forget how beautiful it was. We were getting back out to hike after a few weeks off, so the Horton Creek Trail to Horton Springs was perfect. It's about 3~4 miles each way (out and back) to Horton Spring, including about 1,200 feet of elevation gain. So relaxing, but just enough challenge. Not to mention great scenery.
And if you're ever in Payson, Arizona, check out El Rancho. Great food.
