2025 Lexus GX 550 review // This or the Toyota Land Cruiser?

Thsi is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2025 Lexus GX 550 body-on-frame SUV. This 2025 Lexus GX 550 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.4L V6 paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission, 349 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, full-time 4WD. Compared to the outgoing model V8, this one gets a power boost, up 48 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. A hybrid 2025 Lexus GX will be available later no details have been released on this powertrain.The 2025 Lexus GX 550 gets a newly developed independent double wishbone front suspension with coil springs, a 4-link rear suspension, torque sensing limited slip differential, active noise control, standard tow mode and the improved frame now allows for roof top tents and recovery kits. Adaptive variable suspension is standard on Overtrail, Luxury + and Executive trims.
2025 Lexus GX 550 Overtrail models add an electronic kinetic dynamic suspension, a locking rear differential, crawl control, a panoramic view monitor with a multi-terrain monitor and 33” all terrain tires.
The 2025 Lexus GX 550 is a body on frame SUV with a couple different configurations, the third row option seats up to 7-passengers and the Overtrail models eliminate the third row and hold 5-passengers.
There are lots of different trims to choose from but it does get up there in price. The base 2025 Lexus GX 550 Signature model starts at $86,832 CAD, Premium $95,832 CAD, Overtrail $95,832 CAD

In the US, Premium $64,250 USD, Premium + $69,250 USD, Luxury $77,250 USD,
Luxury + $81,250 USD, Overtrail $69,250 USD and Overtrail + $77,250 USD (MSRP).
The 2025 Lexus GX 550 can tow up to 8,000 pounds. Fuel economy is not stellar at 15.3L/100 km, 15 MPG city and 11.2L/100 km, 21 MPG highway. A hybrid option is welcome.
