This is just a little talk on how I rebuilt my Triumph Stag's choke cable for less than $10. I do not show the building process here, but here are some steps:
Use a small drill to drill out the old cables. A Dremel tool works well. Once clean, feed in two new cables. I glued them in using epoxy glue. Some folks use silver solder. Regular solder does not work it seems. The pull handle only goes in one way, so make sure not to twist the cables.
New choke cables cost more than 100 UK pounds. Bicycle brake cables or gear cables work.
When connected to the car, press down on the accelerator pedal and then pull out the choke. This puts less of a strain on the new cables.
