Yesterday the Dexterity Depot hat a fun comp as a fundraiser for our team. The first comp of the “Movie Series”. “Home Alone” was this comp’s theme. My kickboxing student Kai and I formed the team the Ninja Turtles 😂👌It was the very first time for Kai competing at a ninja warrior competition and she was nervous as all get out 😆 Great fun was had by all and we botched it up together as I mixed up the obstacles and after the ropes I went straight to the ladder, completely forgetting about the suitcases. Kind of like real life 😆😆😆🤪 After the course we had the chance to play games that all had a “Home Alone” theme. The price for each game was a piece of candy. I think our favorite one was swinging the buckets into the cans, which resembled the color bucket swinging down to hit the burglar. I think my favorite part was, when (not sure why we mentioned age) I said that I’m 48 and Kai’s eyes went as wide as a squirrels and she exclaimed “WHAAAAAAT?!? I thought you were like 27!!!” Lmaooo 😂🤣😂🤣👌👌👌 Later I said to her “How could I have been 27 with a 17 year old son?” Just goes to show that you should never let the way someone moves dictate how old you think they are. And I truly feel like a teenager again on this woe (way of eating). To be fair, when I go somewhere with my 17 year old people usually think I’m his sister. 😂🤣😂🙏🙏🙏 At the end we raffled off door prices and a ninja hold. I was glad they had non-candy options, because I already have to hide the chocolate from the games from my son until world championships are over and I can destroy my body right after worlds to be fit and healthy again for the next ninja season 😂🤣😂👌 I picked a diary, which I need a lot off as I make bujos out of them (a personal organization system that combines a planner, to-do-list, and diary - bullet journal). My second door price was an LCD writing tablet. As a face painter also a great gift to practice on. Thanks to Tim Dexter for letting us do this. I hope, we can do it again. It was a great success and super fun! Thanks to Zac, Lucas, Mark, Elias, and Matt for designing and rigging the course.
